On February 19, 2014, Catherine Althaus presented her 2013 Circumnavigation Research
results at Hardin Hall on the Northwestern campus in Evanston.
This was the first time to have a joint meeting with Northwestern staff and students to share the research
& travel experiences of our Foundation Scholar. Catherine's family and friends were well represented.
Hardin Hall with its high ceiling and large screen was an ideal venue for this presentation using Prezi.

On June 7, 2014, we had an outing to historic Pullman.
After gathering at the visitor center,
we had a talk by architect Mike Shymanski, President of AIA.
He then led a tour thru the village which is still an active neighborhood.
We returned to the visitor center for lunch, a film, and a self tour of the exhibits. To cap off the educational
adventure, we visited the factory administration building.
Pullman is a state historic site.

the needed funds for a Northwestern University student to make a circumnavigation while doing important research.
